"5" Review and Interview

Thanks to Marie Lecrivain, publisher of Poetic Diversity, for this lovely review of 5, as well as the interview.

I much prefer the print interview to radio!  Radio makes me nervous!  Though, ok, if you want you can check out this interview I did with the wonderful Jumoke Fashola for BBC London about self publishing.  Tim Coates is super interesting, even if I'm not...(I'm not.  Radio makes me nervous!).

Quote of the Week - Amis

"Love is an abstract noun, something nebulous. And yet love turns out to be the only part of us that is solid, as the world turns upside down and the screen goes black."

Sorta...yes.  Was thinking about the concept of the unbearable lightness of being...and how strangely real it can be at times.  I think this speaks to that.  If love is the only solid...then what exactly is a solid?  *Scratches head*

Happy conundrum for the week!

Quote of the Week - Hughes

"The only calibration that counts is how much heart people invest, how much they ignore their fears of being hurt or caught out or humiliated. And the only thing people regret is that they didn't live boldly enough, that they didn't invest enough heart, didn't love enough. Nothing else really counts at all."

Yes.

Go out and live and love your bold this week.

Quote of the Week - Heffernan

"Openness alone can't drive change."
-Margaret Heffernan

What is your fear of conflict keeping you from saying or doing?

Quotes of the Week - Zest!

If you have zest and enthusiasm you attract zest and enthusiasm. Life does give back in kind.
-Norman Vincent Peale

It is in the compelling zest of high adventure and of victory, and in creative action, that man finds his supreme joys.
-Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Give me the comma of imperfect striving, thus to find zest in the immediate living. Ever the reaching but never the gaining, ever the climbing but never the attaining of the mountain top.
-Winston Graham

Because zest is important to me!  You get three!

(Original Saint-Exupery quote which inspired it all came through LeVan D. Hawkins...)

Live zesty!
